He has worked as a draftsman, graphic designer, cartoonist and illustrator; coordinator, conductor, stage designer, quality control manager, advertising manager and graphic design manager in Mexican television companies (Channel 11, Channel 13, Mexican Television); and as Marketing Director at BBG Communications, Inc. (California).

Jorge was the Director of Sentido Creativo, S.A. de C. V., a graphic design, architecture and communications company, from 1986 to 1993.

Pioneer of professional graphic design using the computer (since 1982). He is a member of the Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI). He has been a founding member of the Image Committee of Tijuana, member of the Board of Trustees of the Symphony Orchestra of Tijuana, of the technical subcommittee of experts of the Committee for the Management of Standards by Competition.
He has received distinctions from the International Cartoon Festival (Montreal), the Mexican Institute of Television, during the Organizational Communication Meeting of AMCO (Mexican Association of Organizational Communication), and during the Dimensional Illustration Awards Exhibition (New York). He has twice received the Quorum Award (1991 and 1993).

His works have been showcased in prestigious publications in Argentina, the United States, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Canada, Spain, Chile and in many Mexican national newspapers.
